Asheville French Cooking Weekends

We are in the process of developing several French cooking weekend packages in alliance with the beautiful  Abbingdon Bed & Breakfast, set in the historic Montfort neighborhood of Asheville.

You will arrive in beautiful Asheville on Thursday, late afternoon, and after you have settled down, our small group will gather around a light supper prepared by Ghislaine, private chef and owner of Ma Belle France. After supper, you will enjoy a short presentation on the French regional culinary specialties we will prepare during our cooking classes, and a French wine pairing lesson taught by one of our local wine experts.

Each morning, after a delightful breakfast, we will start our hands-on French cooking classes. We will then all share our beautifully prepared French meal together. Your afternoons will be open time for you to explore Asheville, visit the extraordinary Biltmore estate, discover the Asheville shops and art galleries, enjoy a hike on one of our many surrounding trails, a scenic drive on the renowned Blue Ridge Highway, or even a Trolley ride around town.

On the second evening, we will reconvene at dinner time for an authentic French dinner at Bouchon, our local French restaurant. The third evening will be open for you to dine in the restaurant of your choice.  Finally, on Sunday morning, after our third cooking class, we will once again gather around the dining table, share our joy and delight in our gourmet meal.  We will all say goodbye when we are done, around 2 pm, in time for your ride to the airport, or en route to your next adventure.

Full details, dates and availability coming soon!

Hi,
i was looking around for wife’s b-day on something different like cooking classes. Do you offer any classes in January around the 20th? If so, what kind, how much for the classes and to stay one or two nights.
thanks
Dwight

I’m interested in a weekend cooking retreat in 2011. What are the upcoming dates and cost to stay at the B&B and total price for the wonderful vacation.

Regards,
Paula

Hello Paula,
My deepest apology for the delay in responding to you. The main reason for that is the uncertainty of my upcoming calendar as I am preparing the culinary trip to France. I must go to France either in January or February. As soon as I am able to secure my calendar, I will schedule the cooking retreat calendar for 2011 and will let you know.
In the meantime, I wish you a wonderful Thanksgiving.
Warmly,
Ghislaine

Hello Dwight,
I am finally able to let you know about my schedule for January. It turns out that I had to postpone my travel to France originally planned for the holiday time. I am now departing Asheville on January 15th and will come back February 15th. Unfortunately I will not be here around January 20th, as you had inquired. My last classes for January are the 7th and 8th, I assume too early for you?
Best regards,
Ghislaine
